I recieved my new bags today. Now my trip is really getting real…and real close! I’m happy with my choices.
The eBags suitcase is very nice. It seems very sturdy, and I like the purple color. It’s not too bright and it will at least be easier to spot when waiting for it at the luggage carousel. I selected the 25″ and I thought that was the same size as my previous suitcase. But it’s a little smaller, so we’ll see how it goes when I actually pack. The suitcase does expand vertically in depth, so that might compensate. Or–I’ll just have to pack less…:(. Otherwise, I love it. Molly–my beautiful 2-year-old Old English Sheepdog–seems to have a different feeling. I swear she senses I’m going away.
Now for the carry-on. I purchased the Le Sportsac Abby Carry-On. It’s very nice, roomy inside with a compartment for a tablet and another zippered pouch.
The bottom is wide, so it seems I will be able to place it under the seat and it will not tip over. Thus access seems like it will be easy. I’m wondering if it might be a little too big. It seems like the bigger the carry-on the more I bring…lol. But I’m wondering if a smaller bag might be better. I don’t really like to carry a heavy carry-on.
What to do?
I love the special appearances by Molly and my girl Maria!

The Container store carries these very light travel accessories (cubes and shirt folders) made by I think Eagle Creek. They are a little expensive but well worth it for packing. I have used them and can fit twice as much into a bag, not that it’s the best idea. I have seen them in Nordstom Rack as well as TJ Maxx de a bit cheaper. The container store in White Plains will show you how to use them efficiently.

Thank you so much Nancy. As always, great minds think a like…lol. didn’t post it, and I should have, but I also ordered some of those from eBags. I got several, and they look like they’ll be really useful. I’ll let you know how they work.
