48 Hours in Rome

I found this interesting take on Rome via 48 hours in Rome. Please take a look. It covers the basics, and provides a few suggestions. More importantly, it brings me right back to Rome myself. I’ve traveled to the Eternal City 3 times–one for 3 days as part of a Grand Italy tour, then 2 other times for a week each. And Rome is eternal. Where else can you be walking down a cobblestone street, turn a corner, and see the Colosseum?

Or look up to the majestic Spanish Steps as the sun shines down?

Or walk up the hill near the “Wedding Cake,” otherwise known as the Victory Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, to the Piazza del Campidoglio and look out at the Roman Forum?

Or enjoy my particular favorite–sipping cappuccino at a cafe and watch people walk by the Pantheon?

  1. Rome’s a wonderful place and somewhere I’d love to go back again to explore more of it. Loved just people watching on the spanish steps as well. Perfect place to sit and enjoy a gelato as well 🙂
